In Sochi, the city which is hosting the 2014 Winter Olympics, the Sochi Institute of Economics and Information Technology partnered with the public organization, “Promotion 2014” in hosting an action for first year students. During the event, students viewed a multimedia program on prevention of HIV infection.

On the Square in Central Administration of Sochi “Promotion 2014” held a street rally. Organizers informed passers-by on the theme of the event—HIV testing and prevention—handing out t-shirts, condoms, and encouraged people to take a rapid HIV test. Participants were also invited to the Center for HIV / AIDS Sochi for more detailed information on preventive measures related to HIV/AIDS issues directly related to a healthy lifestyle. Number of participants: 150 persons, the scope of testing: 80%. (120 people)
